Who are Elecsa and what does registration mean?

We are registered with Elecsa under the Competent Person Scheme & listed on the Electrical Safety Register.

In 2005 Document P of the Building Regulations was introduced to bring Domestic Electrical work under Building Control.

Commonly referred to as 'Part P' this requires electricians to be competent to carry out notifiable work in Domestic properties.

ELECSA and NICEIC are now officially under the tenure of Certsure - the joint venture created by the partnership between the Electrical Contractors Association and the Electrical Safety Council.

Being 'Part P' registered under one of the competent person schemes enables electricians to work on domestic properties without having to inform building control before commencing notifiable work and then certify their work to show compliance with the wiring regulations - BS7671 - 2008

ELECSA registration shows compliance with the requirements of Document P.
